Royal Invitation

Chesnut colt by New Approach out of Nadia

Hello! I was born on Saturday, 27 January, 2018 at a place called Warren Stud, just up the road from where my dad, Darley stallion New Approach, lives at Dalham Hall Stud in Newmarket. He was a fantastic racehorse who won the world-famous Epsom Derby as well as being Champion of Europe. Just a few weeks ago, another of his sons Masar won the Derby just like dad did, everyone was so excited! My mum was quick too, her name is Nadia, she won a very good race in France and was placed in many more. Mum has had a few foals before I came along, but with a dad as amazing as mine, I’m sure I’ll be the fastest!

Hello from Tipperary! I flew to Ireland last year to spend more time with my friends in the field leaving mum to have some well-earned rest. I’ve grown a lot since we last spoke, the lush Irish grass is helping me become big and strong. My days are spent playing with my friends and racing around the paddock. I’m getting plenty of practice because soon, I’ll be racing for real.

Hi, since we last spoke, I have moved home to Newmarket. I spent the end of last year learning how to carry a rider before moving to Godolphin Stables and meeting my trainer Saeed Bin Suroor. I also have a name and have been called Royal Invitation, a fitting name for the son of a champion.

I’m working hard at home and getting tips from the older horses on how to be a racehorse so hopefully, you will see me on a racecourse for my first run soon.

Hello, it’s been a while since my last post and unfortunately, it’s not been the year I hoped for. Shortly after my last update, I had a set back that meant I needed some time off.

I haven’t made it to a racecourse yet but I listen to all the stories my stablemates tell me about their exciting days out. Hopefully one day I can share my own.
