Chesnut colt by Dubawi out of Villarrica

Hello there! I was born at Hadrian Stud on Tuesday, 5 March. The stud is just next to Godolphin’s headquarters at Dalham Hall Stud.

My dad is one of the best stallions in the world, Dubawi. He has sired some of the best horses on the planet so I’ve got a lot to live up to!

Mind you, my mum comes from a pretty famous family too. One of her daughters is a mare named Khawlah, whose son is Masar. He won the 2018 Epsom Derby – the first horse ever to win this wonderful race carrying the Godolphin blue colours.

Hey! In November last year, I flew the nest, leaving mum to move in with some friends at White Lodge Stud just a few miles from where I was born. We have a great time playing in the field together and dreaming of big race wins. The good food and grass is helping me grow into a powerful colt which will hopefully help me become a champion one day and make my amazing family proud.

Hello. It’s been a busy few months since turning two! In December, I moved to a pre-training yard just outside of Newmarket to begin learning to be a racehorse. I first got used to carrying a saddle and also how to lunge and long-rein. Once I was confident doing this, a rider got on me for the first time.

After gaining confidence in a round pen, I then got used to trotting different shapes round an arena before finally being allowed to go on the gallops for the first time. It was a lot of fun and the people were pleased with how well I did.

In May, I moved to Moulton Paddocks to train with Charlie Appleby. It is very exciting to be surrounded by so many great racehorses, including this year’s Derby winner. My grandmother was a sister to two Derby winners! With my family’s history in the great race, I’m hoping one day I might be able to win it too!
