Bay colt by Golden Horn out of Modeyra

Hi there! I was born at Rutland Stud, just outside Newmarket, on Sunday, 10 March.

My mum’s name is Modeyra and she won two races, one at Listed level which is quite good. I have two half-sisters who have won so far, hopefully I can become winner number three for her!

My dad was a very famous racehorse, Golden Horn. He won many of the most prestigious races in Europe, including the Derby and the Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe and was world Champion in 2015. He is now a Darley stallion at nearby Dalham Hall Stud.

Hello! I am now a year old and left my mum to live with other yearlings at Old Connell Stud in Ireland. My dad’s father Cape Cross was also raised at this stud so I am following in his famous footsteps. I recently heard another of my sisters Baarrij also won a race this year, just wait till they see how fast I am though.

I am now two years old and have been very busy since we last spoke. In November, I flew home to the UK to start my training to be a racehorse. I spent the first month at a pre-training yard, a place where they teach young horses to carry a rider, before moving to my trainer, William Haggas.

He is based in Newmarket near where I was born and also trained my older sister Baarrij to win two races. I’m taking it steady and learning the ropes at the moment but hopefully, I’ll soon have a name and be ready to make my big racecourse debut.
