Dubai Future

Bay colt by Dubawi out of Anjaz

Hi there! On 1 April 2016, I was born at Gainsborough Stud. This stud, which belongs to Sheikh Mohammed, is near Newbury in Berkshire.

Here you can see me having some milk from my mum, whose name is Anjaz. She was born in the United States, but raced here in Britain before returning to the USA where she won a Black type race named the Orchid Stakes.

My dad is Dubawi, one of the greatest stallions in the world at the moment. He lives with some of the other Darley stallions at Dalham Hall Stud in Newmarket.

Just before Christmas I moved to White Lodge Stud in Newmarket. Here, I will spend lots of time in the paddock galloping around with my friends which will help me grow up into a big and powerful racehorse. Already we like to run races among ourselves in the paddocks! On 1st January 2017, I officially turned one and am now called a yearling.

I’m really enjoying my time at White Lodge Stud and as you can see, I’m growing big and strong. Later this year, I will begin my ‘pre-training’, where I will start to learn what it feels like to have a saddle on my back and eventually, a rider. This is the first step towards carrying a jockey in a race!

In June 2018 I moved from our pre-training yard to the other side of Newmarket to join my new trainer, Saeed bin Suroor at Godolphin Stables. Since becoming a two-year-old on January 1st I am still learning the ropes and look forward to my first race this year! I have been named Dubai Future.
